I'm using ASRock boards. Sometimes a MSI and Asus. Sometimes ECS.
I don't use gigabyte. They are a pain in the ass.

Recently I have tested 4 major AMD MBO's:
ASRock 990FX Fatal1ty
ECS A990FXM-A
MSI 990FXA-GD80
Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD7 rev1.1 (with LLC)

AMD BD FX-4100
2x 4GB Mushkin 2133MHz RAM
2x HD7850 2GB by Sapphire
60GB SSD Mushkin
850W LC-Power Archangel modular PSU
Thermalright HR-02 cooling solution

All MBO's where great.
ECS and MSI performed well.
ASRock performed extremely well, because it supported RAM 2133MHz within the BIOS multy (ECS and MSI have maxed out with 1866MHz).
Gigabyte supports 2133MHz with BIOS multi on version F9. But that MBO has many issues.

1. When disks are set to work in AHCI, MBO cant find them (but You can manual boot with F12 to OS)
2. I got the message "overclocked fail" for every memory setting i set up over 1333MHz (even 1600/1866/2133MHz).
I have tried with the Patriot Viper2 2133MHz -> the same thing.

So, the gigabyte MBO is the only one who did not pass on my test.

ECS got an OC rekord.

http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=2432062

It seams to me, that I don't like gigabyte, and gigabyte don't like me. It never works fine for me.

I just did a "spare parts" kind-of build with an open box msi 990fxa-gd80 that i got for 127.00I also have an Asrock fatality build that cost 4 times as much(entire build) that gets outperformed by the msi. My kids rig that I build has an Asus (value board) m488t-m with an unlocked sempron to athlon that runs very smooth so I can say that all three run good but only 2 have EXCEEDED my expectations... Still learning about the msi though.

The two motherboards I had before this one were ASUS.

This is the 1st time I've had a Gigabyte. I am pretty pleased about it.
