I have a cheap-o LGA 775 Asus board in "Trixie"
i mean it's an OK board, nothing special, gets a 400mhz overclock on a E6700 with a .25+ voltage
and it is a 3+1 power phase =/ also the NB gets quite warm (even with the IGP disabled and stock clocks)
Says it supports 1333 ram with OC....but I can't get a stable OC for 1333
Never needed support
Also have a Gigabyte 970a-UD3
So far this is a GREAT board, overclocks nicely, has every expansion i need and more no IGP means it's cheaper.
and it looks pretty good too.
Never needed support
And lastly I have a Biostar TA785G3 HD.
it's really a nice board with some cool features.
but the VRM's suck! died twice due to something going out in the phases or whatever.
which I think may have been due to the "green" features where it only uses ONE power phase at idle/low usage
but it is a 4+1 and the support was REALLY good.
Oh, and I've got a dell with an OEM foxconn mbo.
Optiplex GX260.. made in 2002 and it's still chugging along.. if that indicates their retail boards quality I would not hesitate to buy one
