Higher overclock gets tricky, it usually needs more vcore which raises temps more, when the temps are getting uncomfortably warm it's pretty much down to either finding a chip that is stable at lower voltage (binning), or better cooling to handle the heatload.
Unfortunately both methods usually require throwing money at the computer.
An AC in the room to lower ambient temps can also help, I like winter since it makes benching easier.
