Didn't buy a SeaSonic this time.

I bought a Kingwin actually, weird huh? Not a usual name you see in the PSU area (least not to me), after much reading I found out they are made by Super Flower (Golden King I think) and from reviews I read on that, they are pretty good. Or what I read appeared to be good wink.gif

700

Fuzzy iPad pic, it'll do cuz I left my laptop at my cousins house which has my camera in it >__>

I like the cables more so then how SeaSonics are, they remind me of my Ultra X3's, just without the horrid manufacturing process.

Unless they changed the product there rebranding from the 550W, I think its a Super flower Golden King design.

Yes, the Kingwin LZP-650 is indeed a Super Flower Golden King unit.

Interesting a lot of PSUs as of late from what i understand are just re branded seasonics, interesting to see an original design. I really don't think/care too much i just pick a PSU off the recommended PSU list if i feel it deliver enough amps on the 12v rail. Just about any thing Johnny Guru approves is a pretty darned decent unit.

+1 that.

Superflower is a good OEM. They make a lot of supplies you never heard of. But not all Kingwin are good. Are all Seasonic good? Probably smile.gif

But we are glad you got a good one.

After my Ultra X3 I'm not venturing into unknown PSU's lol. Since I was trying a new PSU brand I made sure to read up on it before, never had a issue with SeaSonic. If they had there X660 in Platinum efficiency maybe I would have been swayed, but this unit fits nicely.

Well if you want to know if a PSU is at least decent all you need to do is look at how many amps it supplies on the different rails. THat alone says ALOT about a PSU, if it supplies just as many or more amps on the 3v and 5v as it does the 12v it is probably crap.

Kingwin's platinum line is based on the Superflower design. It's gotten rave reviews from Hardwaresecrets, HardOCP, as well as the well-trusted JonnyGuru. Incredibly stable voltage rails, very high efficiency, and quiet fan. It is on par if not maybe better than Seasonic's platinum line of psus.
