Really man, there are plenty of practical uses for this. For example, I am an art student who doesn't want to spend 3k on a fancy, low-input lag, very accurate touchscreen like wacom. Instead, I can now use my regular monitor with this baby, and even use things like Maya with Surround 3D to basically make me Tony Stark.

There are so many uses for this it boggles the mind. Have you thought how you would type with this? Imagine a keyboard with no actual electrical parts. Just dummy keys for feedback and this. You type as normal and it reads it. Now slowly take away the dummy keyboard as you get used to it. Bang! Your typing on air! Yes, it will take work to get used to but so does touch typing now.

Same with a mouse. Hold your hand like it has a mouse and go. It does not need any cables or blue tooth or anything. If you need the feedback a mouse give, use the dummy again.

Grab a paper and a stick and write your love poem. This captures everything you wrote and sends a hand written yet spell checked note to your love.

I think the problem people have is more "I don't know how to use this now" but once you have used it and it becomes natural you will look at a mouse the same way we look at a floppy drive. How did they ever live with out this. A mouse with only 2 dimensions of movement? Please. 2011 called and they want their T shirt back.

except there is no way that this will be precise enough to fulfill the same usage as a wacom tablet. honestly, even mouse would probably blow this out of the water for that usage.

-.- Really, that is your argument? Come on, the wacom monitors START at 1k, this thing costs 70$. I think it has the wacom beat, regardless of how much better, the price/performance compared to a wacom is OUT THE ROOF.
No, mouse/keyboard would never "blow this out of the water". You are better off scanning hand drawn things into the comp... Have you ever even tried doing this kind of work with mouse/keyboard? I'm not talking about vectors here...

EDIT: Also, please don't take offence, I am not saying that this will ever take the place of actual mouse/keyboard, just that it has many uses. I don't think I will ever give these up. I type much faster with this piece of plastic than I write, and I don't want to type on air. It will make me feel dumb..

Ah, to tell truth, I need to find out if they work on PC or android first. If it is Apple only I do not want.
