ASUS Sabertooth 990fx - cpu red light on boot up / bluescreen after starting windows symbol

I have recently brought a new motherboard / PSU (650w Corair tx650 v2) and a new case (Antec elevn hundred ) also a cpu cooler ( cool master hyper tx3 evo)

I have plugged everything into the motherboard - All of the correct cables etc.

I boot my computer BIOS loads fine etc / no beeps on startup, although I do notice a RED LED light coming on next to the cpu? I was wondering could this be where I may have installed the cpu wrong or something?

Can someone please help me or give some advise?

If any more information is need please say smile.gif

if the red light gose out your good it comes on when you start the rig checks the cpu if its good it gose out if it stays on you have a problem with the cpu thier is 2 other red lights one the the ram and one for gpu they all do the same

Oh alright yeah I think they all seem to flash on. I released that the boot device led seems to stay on when entering the bios and until the windows start logo appears. But I am still getting the blue screen flash after the starting windows logo, and then the computer just restarts.

I have swapped hd's into a full rig for years without having to ever reinstall windows...but the last 5-10 times, I've had to reinstall every dam time. Sucks, but it will end up running better anyways.

just downclock your RAM...I assume you're using 1600mhz sticks? Stock clocks wont work without some tweaking. I had these issues when I first got my sabertooth. 1333 mhz will do the trick.
