All is in the title, I do not plan to overclock anything but I run a XMP Profile (for my Corsair Vengeance RAM). Thanks!

Can you tell me what is the difference between both?

Manual will maintain the set vcore in the BIOS regardless of the multiplier. If you have speedstep on (which you should), the processor downclosed to 1600Mhz (multiplier 16). In offset mode the vcore will adjsut to VID +/- offset. You save power and lower temps. Hope this helps

Lets say you manually set the cpu voltage to 1.32 for say 4.5 overclock, when your chip down clocks to 1.6 at idle the voltage stay at 1.32 and you don't want that. When you use the offset like in my case I use 0.065 for my offset the cpu voltage goes to 1.28 the when it goes back to idle at 1.6 the voltage drops back down to 1.104 which is much better for power consumption and heat control. Please keep in mind that the offset number I used works for me and you would have to try and see what is best for you.I use the Ivy Bridge 3770k and you want to be under 1.35 volts max.

OFFSET + 1 FOR ME.
