Damaged catleap, Doubt it's fixable but possibly.

So while fiddling with my and object fell from the top of my case BOUNCED on my desk and scratched the bottom of my catleap Leaving this great dirty white mark, From my understanding there are two layers above the pixels A polarisation layer, And a protective layer And while the display still works, Theres a great white mark on the bottom corner where it was scratched, I don't think it'll be fixable, Maybe but unlikely.

3 weeks i had everything nice and happy, and now it's all ruined sigh.

The good thing about the Dell monitors is the anti glare coating prevents most scratches from occurring. Since the Catleap and other korean monitors have no coating, the screen can get scratched easily...

The dell ones cost 1500 dollars, I could build Four Pc's for the price, Of a dell monitor That uses the exact same panel, So no thanks on the dell monitor that would also likely take WEEKS to get here like the rest of their products not to mention that anti glare reduces colour quality

It looks like replacement panels for that are $179-$199 on eBay. LM270WQ1 is the model number to search for.

You might try a coat of clear that matches the finish of the coating. If you're gonna replace it anyways, try it out.

Exaggeration much? http://www.amazon.com/Dell-UltraSharp-U2711-27-inch-Widescreen/dp/B0039648BO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1342227902&sr=8-1&keywords=u2711
I could have that monitor here tomorrow for under $800.

1 dell for 800 delivered or 3 shimians for 900 delivered. not much of an exageration.
