How can I be sure of this? I used this chip for about 4 years now and all was working fine (my old RAM was working fine too (Kingston ValueRAM 2x2GB 1333mhz)).

One thing that hasn't been clarified...

What speed is your uncore (Memory controller and some other stuff) running at? For memory at 1600MHz, it only needs to run at 2400MHz. At 2400MHz, it shouldn't need any more than 1.25V.



If you don't mind, post some of your BIOS settings (speeds, voltages, etc.).

In my BIOS, EVERYTHING is set to Auto (I recently restored my BIOS to default parameters). Here are some number:

-Target CPU Frequency: 2793 mhz
-Target DRAM Frequency: 1333 mhz

-CPU Voltage Mode: Offset
-Offset Voltage: Auto (1,176 V)
-IMC Voltage: Auto (1,106 V)
-DRAM Voltage: Auto (1,546 V)
-CPU PLL Voltage: Auto (1,796 V)
-PCH Voltage: Auto (1,050 V)

P.S. Everything else is also set to Auto except OC Tuner Limit Value (Turbo Profile). Also, I am not setting Manual parameters for DRAM Timing and Frequency anymore (1600 mhz, timing of 7-8-8-24) until I find a solution for my problem. Thanks!

Do you see anything in the BIOS about uncore or VTT frequency?

Try the following settings:

-CPU Voltage Mode: Manual
-Offset Voltage: 1.200 V
-IMC Voltage: 1.250 V
-DRAM Voltage: 1.600 V
-CPU PLL Voltage: 1.750 V
-PCH Voltage: Auto
