Appraisal for EVGA GTX 590 Classified

Thread Starter
What's the current value of EVGA's GTX 590 Classified?

It's brand new (just got a new card from RMA) and still has 2.3 years of warranty left via Guest RMA. I just put the card in my computer to verify that it was working and stressed it for 15 minutes of Furmark and Kombustor.

$500 because of the warranty.

Thanks for your appraisals. Any other thoughts on this card?
I would expect it to be worth a little more than a GTX 680, but less than 2 GTX 580's. Does $500 sound reasonable as a starting point?

Hard to say for sure what someone would be willing to pay for it. There might be someone willing to pay $500+ but it might take a while for the right person to come along with the money.

It's worth less than one GTX 680 because it's slower than one GTX 680. Not to mention the 680 draws less power and runs cooler and is just one GPU; no SLI. redface.gif

$500 would yield a solid sale on CL I think. $400 would probably sell on OCN.

A gtx 590 is a tad bit better they trade some blows but at the end if you are not overclocking 590 will outpeform a single 680...here is the proof http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/516?vs=555

Hardly accurate. Most of those benches are done on beta drivers that barely support the GPUs being compared.

Point remains thus: 590 is older, more power hungry, and has less Vram per card, plus is two GPUs on one PCB...so games aren't going to scale 100% all the time.

$500
