Does that give me extra headroom for the +.125v over stock voltage? My stock being 1.049v > 1.174v to now 1.093v > 1.218v ? If so then that's pretty good IMO, no?

In theory yes. I haven't tested it in practice but it should work out just like that.

I was saving up for a PowerColor 7970 Vortex @ 1100 but i figured with this leaked ghz bios performence would be similar at a way lower price for me (give or take 50 euro price difference) so i just went ahead and bought the Club3D 7970 Royal King. Should be arriving here tomorrow. I checked if it had the dual bios and it does so ill def update this thread if im succesfull or not.

Cheers,

Prog

Holey moley, have not tried the core overclocking yet, but before in xfire I would hard crash past 1650 on the memory(one card is holding both back), regardless of volts applied.

With the same volts I have so far got to 1850 and benched 3dmark11 (good for memory stability) and crysis 2. So far working perfectly. I don't think I will clock any higher, will leave at 1800mhz and have volts at 1650.

Stock volts this is how unigen looks running

The memory timings could have been increased in exchange for clock speed.

Nice Newbie!! Bring up that core clock and see if you get better 3dmark11 scores than you did with your previous core and memory overclock. Use same core as you have run before with your new mem speed. That will tell somewhat whether the latency is higher on this bios. If the timings are loser, the numbers should show. Do you have a result before like 1200/1600 vs new bios with 1200/1800
