Flushing Radiator while it is installed in the case?

Hi,

I'm new here, and I've got a question about flushing my watercooling setup.

Since I'm a noob at this stuff, I mounted all the watercooling components in my case, without flushing them beforehand.

My questions is, is it possible to flush everything without uninstalling them from my case? The CPU waterblock is already installed, radiator, tubing, everything.

It would really suck to have to remove everything.

What can I do?

Thanks

From prior experiences flushing out my rads, I had to run hot water from the tap or boiling water and do 10-15 flushes shaking the radiator every time. It's going to be a pain if you don't remove it because radiator flux can creep inside your CPU block, reservoir, and other areas in your loop. If you flush it out before you won't have to worry as much. wink.gif

To do it right and safe you're going to need to pull it all apart.

Ok thanks guys for the replies. I did take everything out and flushed the rad and re-installed them. Glad I did.

I now have a new question about water leakage. I had one.

Luckily my components were not powered so nothings fried, since I jumpered my psu with a paperclip.

It was a small leak from the waterblock, with just a few drops on the motherboard. I wiped off what I could, tightened the fittings, and turned the pump back on.

It has now been over 5 hours (with pump on), with zero leakage thus far.

My questions is, how long should I wait to power on my system with all components powered?

The motherboard looks completely dry with no obvious drops of water, but I suppose it could still be moist in hidden places.

I'm fairly confident it won't leak at this point, since its been 5-6 hours leak-free, but I'm not sure if that is sufficient time to let the mobo dry off.

Sorry for the long list of questions. I'm a noob, I can't help it.

Thanks again.

You should run it for 24 hours just to make sure. smile.gif
