BF2142 & EA Link

Thread Starter
Just in case anyone reading this was considering buying BF2142 via the EA Downloader or as its now called EA Link, DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

EA can't seem to leave well enough alone. I bought the game, downloaded it, and have been playing it fine. The only catch is in order to play, EA Link has to run in the background. Well if EA Link is uninstalled, or cannot connect to some EA server, you can't play the game. Like right now for instance, EA Link can't connect, therefore my Game Key is coming up as invalid, which is total BS.

I wish hadn't wasted my money on this game.

Always buy the disk. EA's downloader and Link are a waste of time and effort.

Sorry it didn't work out for you.

The software that reoplaced EA Downlaoder, EA Link, is horrible about mantaining a connection and if it can't connect, you can't play the retail version.

How are you able to paly it on another machine? And how without EA Downloader/Link running? That's how it verifies your game key, or so I thought.

It's very disappointing. I was considering buying some other EA Games too with this thing, but it's not worth it at all. Ya live ya learn I guess. Oh well.
