Asus Xonar DG will always revert back to FP headphone instead of 5.1 speakers after every...

Sup guys,
i got the Xonar DG and in the Audio Center i have Analog out set to 5.1 speakers, which work perfecty fine. until the computer goes to sleep or i restart it. after that it will go back to the default FP (front panel) Headphone even though i have nothing plugged into that port.

has anyone had such experience? its extremely annoying

I did when I first installed it along with the supplied drivers.

I installed the latest drivers and it was fixed.

i returned it after Asus was being a penis and not helping out at all. generally i would never reccomend an asus product, unless you are getting it for free. customer service SUCKS.

not only that, when i uninstalled it it messed up my drivers for Realtek. my computer was never teh same again.

Hmm.. mine always reverts to FP Headphone after a reboot but that's because I always leave them plugged in. I unplugged and rebooted to see what would happen and it stayed set to 2 Speakers like it's supposed to. No idea why it's not working right for you guys headscratch.gif

Be careful with those UniXonar drivers though. I tried them a few weeks ago and everything went to hell. Took me 3 hours of screwing around to get any sound working again.

i have static now in headphone out... no idea how to get rid of it. Not sure if it's my headphones or card. This was before installing the drivers FYI. I think I might need a ground loop isolator.
