Newbie to computer builds help?

Hello im new to computer building. My friend just convinced me to build my own deskstop.

Well I need help deciding a few things. Im goingt to buy this build and I need help deciding if this is a good build...

Case: Rosewill Ranger gaming ATX mid tower.

RAM: G.skill rigjaws x series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240 pin DDR3 SDRAM, DDR3 1600

optical drive: Sony black 18x DVD-ROM 48x CD-ROM

Processor: I5 2300 Intel

Motherboard: H61M-DGS micro ATX

Power supply: Rosewill Green Series RG530-S12 530W

Video Card: sapphire radeon HD 6870 1GB 256bit GDDR5

Hardrive: Seagate Barracuda 7200.9 ST3500641AS-RK 500GB 7200RPM

All the items I am buying for my computer are going to be on newegg.com. Im trying to build a gaming deskstop. Please help on my build im not to familiar with builds yet so please dont go to advanced in your suggestions...

Budget? This is very important, as we can't build something without knowing how much will be spent on it. Based on the parts listed, I'm guessing it's in the $600-700 range?

Yes it does include the monitor and OS... With that said im still looking at this for a good gaming computer but not sure if this is a good build. Also don't know what power supply I should get to???
