The "stock" core voltage varies from chip to chip.

Are you sure the memory voltage applied? I can change the sliders but gpuz and afterburner still report

That card isn't a reference HD7970 PCB HD7950. I'm not sure if XFX makes a HD7950 with a reference HD7970 PCB.

The score reports 2 cards in cross fire? You running 2 cards or is that an error?

hey guys, i`m new in this Forum. I found this thread really interesting and i think is the only one topic on the internet where you can get a good knowledge about the new hd 7950 with 7970 PCB. I myself have one from Club 3D wich has one 8pin and one 6 pin PCIE connections. I can redirect you my overclocking and bench results to the forums that i posted the results: http://www.trubritarforums.com/index.php/topic/9093-my-new-hd-7950/page__p__98869#entry98869 . I was able to achieve 1250 on the core and 1700 on the memory with 1.2 volts haven`t tested it further maybe i can achieve even 1300 on the core, i can tell you guys, these new hd 7950 with 7970 pcbs are really epic. is really hard to find a normal hd 7950 which can achieve 1200 on the core with 1.2 volts at least according to my own information that i have about the majority of the hd 7950 overclocking potential. Mine its completely stable at 1.2 volts no matter what i throw in it BF3, Sleeping Dogs, 3dmark 11, heaven 3.0 etc etc... the only downside on my rig is my current cpu wich is holding me a little back if you have noticed the Performance results on 3dmark 11. Thnx for the thread. I hope someone can unlock these hd7950s in 7970!!! Chears

Are you sure your card is made on reference HD7970 PCB? Could you post some photos of your card PCB with the heat sink off?

The only review of your card that I have has photos of your card and it doesn't look like it is made on a HD 7970 PCB.

Yeah im absolutely sure it has a reference HD7970PCB cuz it has 8pin and 6pin connectors!! No i won`t remove the heatsink only to show you that is the hd7970 pcb but according to the information that i have all the current hd 7950 that have 8pin and 6pin pcie connections are hd7970 pcbs, thats simple as that sorry mate but have no time to remove the current heatsink and to tell ya the truth i have no experience on opening gpu heatsinks.... what do you think of my overclocking results? thnx for your comment wink.gif

I recently got my MSI TF3 7950 and was wondering if anyone knew if this waterblock would fit it? I seem to have the 7970 PCB model, V277-020. From everything that I can tell it should fit but after already buying a block that didnt I'd love some other input. Thanks in advance guys.
