you cannot unlock the disabled shaders on the HD 7950. With 1.2 Ghz on the HD 7950 you have a very powerful card. frankly I don't see a need for overclocking a HD 7950 beyond 1 Ghz at 1080p. the extra overclock performance is useful for 1440p and higher. do not flash the BIOS. just enjoy the performance in the latest games thumb.gif

Yes, its the msi tf3. After some research in this thread i was pretty sure a reference block would fit and just bought it! Taking off the stock cooler and looking at the pictures here was great help!

thnx for your feedback, actually your right about the performance, this card is a beast wink.gif) but i thought since the card is a modified 7950 or maybe it has a reference 7970, maybe it could be possible to unlock the shaders! The card has two bioses so i don`t think i could harm the card if i just try a 7970 bios but i could need some help on what programm to use to update bios? can anyone recommend me a good reliable program to change my hd7950 bios? thnx

Looks like HIS just released a 7950 with a 7970 reference pcb with a couple of tweaks. I want to try this bios. I'm sure that Wizzard will dump it.

Great looking PCB on that card. I want to try that BIOS out as well.

I just made a post in the thread on TPU, hopefully wizz will dump the bios.

I just noticed on Newegg that it looks like the 950mhz is just the boost clock. I'll probably stick with that sapphire bios that you uploaded.

I am having trouble flashing to your SAPPER.rom bios using atiflash, suggestions? I noticed that it is also only 64kb when my backup bios is 128kb. I have the Sapphire 950mhz card as well but I was interested to see how the updated bios would perform.

This is what I am doing.

Booted into DOS win 98 using my usb with atiflash and your sapper.rom within.

typed:
atiflash.exe -i
atiflash.exe -f -p 0 sapper.rom

says flash completed, need to restart. So I hit the restart on my case and I can't post.
