This is the bios as I backed it up while using atiflash.
BACKUP.zip 41k .zip file

I don't think the bios are locked since I was able to brick both of them and reflashed them back to my backup bios.

My card is also a really bad overclocker. I can't even go 1000mhz core clock on stock. Its fine on furmark but when I play games..say after 2 hrs, my screen freezes and i see stripes. Temps are also fine. around the mid 60s.

I also tried bumping it up to 1.25v and 1100core, 1300memory, froze on furmark then a magenta screen with while vertical stripes.

It's fine now, but I suspect it will crash after I load up a game. I will test my theory out in a bit.

Yeup. I booted up Borderlands 2 right after I closed furmark with no issue this time. Pressed continue and my computer locked up and got this screen.



I am just puzzled to why this is happening. I had a TF3 with the 7970 pcb before getting this card and it overclocked fine. I only returned it because it was coil whining pretty bad (sadly the sapphire one does too). Did I just get a somewhat dud card? I mean, I don't need to overclock at this moment as stock speeds runs fine with no crashes, but it is just nice to know I can do it down the line when needed.

*using a seasonic x-660 psu. feeding power into my card with 1 modular cable that splits into 2, 6+2 pins.

Better to have 2 cables coming off your PSU rather that one split.
From that picture your voltage looks quite low, could be a lack of power.

I would say raise the voltage to 1100 maybe, your temps are already quite high though.
I don't use furmark though (GPU torture) so not sure what kind of temps should be expected with it.

what card is it?
