Trinity laptop memory question

My Envy 6Z will be here Monday with the A10 processor. I want to get another stick of memory on the cheap to use with it.

I heard dual channel will increase performance a bit.

Also heard that it will run at 1333mhz due to the APU limitations or something..?



Can I use any 1600mhz memory, pair it with the 1600mhz 4gb DIMM module, for Dual Channel 1600mhz performance? Or will I need matching modules, and they'll only run at 1333mhz?

Will run benches with 4gb/8gb by the way.

You can use 1600mhz pairs, but it'd probably be a waste of money because the system limitations would throttle it to 1333mhz

Why would it limit it? Is there anyway to overclock to 1600mhz?

Trinity most definately does not have ram limitations, if anything you will bottle necked at 1333. If you can change the ram speed in the bios is the issue, which is probably manufacturer specific (did they put options in the bios or not).
