6x 120mm (2 Front Panel, 1 HD Cage 1 Rear and 2 H100i) Cougars and 2 x 140mm Cougars for the bottom, Gonna cost a fair bit but they'll be worth every penny I think. Your thoughts?

I won't go so far as to say they're "not good". They move a lot of air through that rad. I think that at really low RPM (~700) the bearings make a little racket. Is it so noisy it's unbearable? Not by an means, I barely notice it.

If you want to use those fans on a rad like the H100i, I'd check their static pressure rating. That's what makes the difference when you have really restrictive flow like a rad or grille.

I've had no personal experience with any fans from Cougar, but they seem like nice fans. I'd check some fan reviews and see how they stack up against other fans before I went and bought 8 of them though.

I still have the cores running at widely different temps. It was the same way with the stock Intel cooler. Is it just the chip or am I doing something wrong when I mount the cooler?

Anyways the screenshot above is at 4.3GHz @ 1.24v.  If that one core wasn't running so hot I could probably push harder. Plus I am still a n00b at dialing in this OC. However I'm certainly not complaining about 4.3GHz on an Ivy Bridge Quad. I was just hoping for around 4.5GHz at decent temps.

Anyways, goodnight world!

Very nice, the parts are very similar to what I was thinking about doing with this, but I ended up deciding on the NZXT Switch 810.

About the cougar fans, I was told this when I was going to get them.

They can only be place horizontally (example is the back panel) and with the bearing on the top side. As the type of bearing can not have the top upside down as it means the bearing can not lubricate itself and will cause scraping noises and most likely damage.

I think a lot of these case fans have that issue where they don't like being upside down. One fix on these stock H100i fans may be to run them as intake rather than exhaust. I will try that today just for troubleshooting's sake.

It isn't just the cougar fans, its any fan with a hydro - bearing which include the Corsair Air series fans.

Interesting. Thanks for the info!

Oh and as an update, I did manage to get the H100i installed with push/pull. It's a tight fit with the C70/Sabertooth combo, in fact I couldn't run the colored ring on the lower left fan without it binding. Fan runs great without it though.

Enjoy:

I like them a lot. Though I've never had any other name brand fans until these. Only thing so far is that they make an ever so slight noise when run upside down. But for the amount of air they move at low RPM, I will gladly take a little extra noise.
