You need the 240 if you want to oc. Recommendation is 120 per block and of you want to oc an extra 120 per block. Thus 240 of you want to oc that CPU.

Dimaggio, I was wondering what the condition of your open box came in, like was it in a non brand box, did it come with an I/o shield and junk like that lol?

Both my open box GPU and Mobo came in factory packaging. had all the cables, manuals, stickers, and even had the cpu block in to protect the pins. It looked factory to me. Same with the GPU. Not all boards do, some come in a white box. I always order open box and have only had one be doa.

I think a 120 would be fine for just the CPU. I would still recommend at least a 240 though.

Just had an idea, if I get the ASUS Maximus V Gene which is a micro board, can I put it lower down and get a rasa 240 and do a push/pull set up in my case or would that not work?

Missed my chance on the asus board ; - ; but I found an extra 40 bucks today so i can do a board up to 180ish

Was thinking about http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130643R and http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157295 didnt what extreme 4 because its size would look odd.

MSI is a good brand ive heard but what about gigabyte?
