Hey everyone,

could really use some help with my first desktop build. I've currently got a desktop for my everyday activities but find it doesnt cut it for my gaming, so it will be purely for gaming, probs have a ssd just for windows and another hdd for anything else. I don't really care what the case or anything looks like.

I've done a little research and im definitly no wiz but this is what i came up with on a 800-900$ budget.
I also didn't know whether it would be buy a psu and case seperate or together so thoughts on that aswell?

If you think im going in the complete opposite direction please help! haha im happy to change anything or everything on this list.
All the prices were from msy.com.au
And would this be all compatible?
Any advice is greatly appreciated!! Thanks

I would suggest g. for memory. $110 at New egg http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231489

That's 15 cheaper then another $20 off with promo code.

Corsair 700 watt psu $99 with rebate http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139024

Ok so you really only need like 8 gb of ram. And
Even if you stick with that CPU, you need a Better mobo

can you provide a link where you would be purchasing your items or where we can search to get a better perspective. Also no need of z68 mobo if you are not overclocking since you are getting a 3450, ssds i would change to like a Vertex4 128gb or a Samsung 830 128gb, Crucial M4 128gb, Plextor M3 Pro 128gb, it all depends on the price and they are here for about ~$110 usd on sale. Ram i would grab some Samsung 30nm 2x4gb kit http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820147096&Tpk=samsung%2030nm also grab something better for a PSU since its a backbone of the system, something like corsair, seasonic, etc. The new GTX 660 should be out soon but Gpu prices fluctuate so like i said before if you provide your retailers we can give you more options.

First up, got to ask some questions.

1. Will you be overclocking?

2. Do you have any brand preference?

3. Will you want to go Crossfire or SLI in the future?
