I have an Asus P8Z68-v Gen 3 and I upgraded BIOS to most recent version and now whenever I exit BIOS and restart, the machine hangs with a black screen with fans spinning. Is it possible I have a corrupt BIOS? Is there a way to revert back since Asus doesn't allow you to flash an older BIOS?

Problem solved!... It was indeed a corrupt BIOS flash, I was able to boot to the motherboard disc and use the FreeDOS prompt to reflash the current BIOS with the command line based BIOS update utility.

Oh.. Glad to see you have it solved. Its times like these where a Dual-bios board is really useful.

Problem not solved
Now in the BIOS I can change some settings and save/restart successfully, but If I touch anything OC related it just does the reboot then hang thing again. And my option to overclock via the Turbo Multi has disappeared????? I am so lost on this one.

Back to square one, I can boot into the machine by setting the SATA setting to RAID (Intel SRT) but I cannot touch a single setting related to OC without it hanging after the restart.
How rediculous is it you can't flash an older "working!" version of a BIOS on Asus boards.

Reset BIOS to default. You could always buy a BIOS chip from ASUS if you cant get your flash to work right.

+ rep to you for that find. I don't think I'll resort to that quite yet but nice find. I am going to haggle Asus support and poke around in the ROG forums for answers first.
Seems it is a common issue when flashing new BIOS on P8 boards. Can't get system to boot with RAM higher than 1333 and some OC settings are plain out Missing.
