I'd say a pattern is taking shape here, but we NEED MORE SAMPLES!!!

Once I get to 30 samples I'm going to graph out the numbers so we can see how strong a correlation we have ...

Charlie in order to get the readout you have to enable the OSD (onscreen display) feature in AB/PrecX and choose which clocks you want to have show up in it ... one would need to be the core clock thumb.gif

OK, I enabled OSD for Core 1, Core 2, Memory 1, Memory 2.

The GPU-Z app doesn't cause the boost to engage on Core 2, but Heaven 3 does.

So GPU-Z reports "Boost" as 1163, the OSD shows 1306 under load, but 1202 just before load starts. That's (1202) the value given by GPU-Z as "Default Clock", and what Core 2 stays at during the GPU-Z rendering. My AB slider is set at 104, so that's the 1306 - 1202. Both Cores go to 1306 under Heaven 3.

These are MSI Lightning GTX 680 cards.

You're confusing me ... what's the difference on your card between that values I've circled in my example? Max out your core OC, and use Heaven to get the Red circled value if GPU-Z won't fully engage the boost. So Red minus Black = Kepler Boost, and Red alone is your actual observed max clock. Those are the two numbers I'd like reported. Kepler Boost, and Max OC thumb.gif

The info is there, but I don't think it's what you are after. The Lightning has a 2 position BIOS switch, and when it's in the 2nd position (LN2 BIOS per MSI), the core clock is 1202.

So my "black circle" per your request is 1163, my "red circle" is 1306, for a value of 143.

But whenever I have AB open, I never see 1163 as a value anywhere. It'll cruise along at idle, when something opens it'll go up to 1202, when I lean on it, it goes to 1306. That difference is 104, just what the slider says.

1306 is a pretty mediocre OC for these cards, but my red circle - black circle value of 143 appears to be the highest reported so far. This leads me to believe that something - either the 2nd BIOS position/1202 clock, the factory Lightning OC values, or the SLI configuration - is not in line with the tests you've laid out.
