Does Higher 'Kepler Boost' value = Higher Core OC Potential? Need Input! - Page 3

Tell you what, GC ... I think the issue here is that strange things I've not seen before happen from the Bios switch.

Could you just do this for me?

Use the regular bios so we're comparing apples/apples with everyone else. Then fire up Heaven in a small window, fire up Precision/AB with the OSD turned on, and fire up GPU-Z, and just post a screenshot showing Heaven/OSD + GPU-Z front page? Obviously we want you to be OC'd as far as possible on the regular bios ... this combination will allow me to do the calcs smile.gif

Oh, and 143 is definitely possible, in fact we have two of them up above. I've seen up to a 234MHz value reported on the boards. And I don't think that person got too much more than 1300 in the end. + This is just a 'survey' at this point ... I don't think we have enough info to conclude that there's a strong correlation between KB and high OC's, so ... 143/1306 may be perfectly right ...

If you don't feel like dealing with it, that's cool too thumb.gif

I just realized you've requested the Max Core OC without any OC of the memory. My numbers reflect a substantial memory OC. I will re-submit numbers in the next few days. I suppose there is the potential my Core OC will raise if i take memory out of the equation.

And Thankyou for pointing that out...... I didn't have my memory at stock. Will resubmit later to night. Will re-update post when corrected. LOL

Edited: updating that changing the Memory back to stock leaving my Core OC did not effect the Core Boost clock 1149 MHz. Therefore prevoius submission remains in prior post.

damn, awesome OC man. do you have trouble keeping the Vram temps in line? or is your Vram OC not as significant?

Vram temps? There's no sensor for Vram but fullcover block cool's every important mosfet's and also memorychips. Max memory freq is ~1770MHz. GPU or memory oc wont have influence eich other.

Check out my review about this EK-FC680 GTX DCII block from here: http://www.sf3d.fi/artikkelit/EKWB-GTX680-DCII-waterblock

I posted your score, but 210 is not a possible Kepler Boost value (the nearest would be 208) ... plus it's really high. You sure you didn't just post your offset?
