i7 930 User upgading need MOBO advice

Thread Starter
recently my Motherboards finally giving out. I have X58 EVGA 3xSLI FTW edition.

I want to build a i5 3570k or a i7 3770k. However idk what motherboard to choose. Im a big fan of EVGA however the cost just isnt effective for me The motherboard id like it to be full ATX since I Dual SLI with a full PCI soundcard
Everything will be on water cooling and most likely ill go with the i5,

some recommendations? please and thanks! I'm trying to budget this build under 500. (I still need to get RAM)

If your not looking for HT or PCI-E 3.0, just go with an i5 2500k for gaming. With that, you could buy a ASUS P8Z68 V Pro.
If you want an i5 3570k, go with the ASUS P8Z77 V Pro.
As for the RAM, a pair of gskill ripjaws-x 8GB 1600Mhz is very cheap and great performing. The ram will work with either of the two options listed above.

I cant use that MOBO due to my Soundcard design. Its a HT Omega Claro Halo XT, Uses one PCI-E and any slot above or under it. Cant happen with Dual SLI

You would probably have to grab either of those or something that has pcie slots in a similiar orientation. Since most motherboards have the pcie x1 then the first pci2.0/3.0 slot right after.
You're pretty much only limited to a few select boards which are pretty expensive :/. I'll try looking around more but these 2 fit the bill for now.

EDIT: You could probably get away with grabbing a set of 2x4gb Samsung DDR3 ram and overclocking it for 50 bucks.
Then with a 3570k ~230 depending where you get it from
and a motherboard does it matter to you where it is p67,z68 or z77 chipset, you could probably grab an older chipset
