How does my proposed HTPC build look? - Page 2

Umm this is 100% overkill for a normal HTPC. Are you going to be gaming on that rig too or what? Your "HTPC" crushes my sig rig that I use to game and do everything on. There is no need for that graphics card. I'm currently running a 5570 in my HTPC and it easily plays back 1080 videos and has done everything.

Didn't see the LAN part. For a LAN rig it is still a rather beastly rig IMO. Should still run everything like a champ.

In that case I would change out that power supply. It's complete overkill for this and in this case overkill is just a waste of money since you won't actually see any benefit. A 500 watt power supply would easily power that rig overclocked as high as possible.

hive are the least expensive modular (a must in this case) and the 650 is $5 less than the 750
the 550w is out but if i can find it ill get it.
