Hi have a H100 and i am overclock to 4.5 1.192v in bios.
But my temps seem high

Can you guys with a i5-3570k post up some of your temp running the H100

thanks.

And what or the max safe temps for ivy

Ivy Bridge does run hot. As long as its under 80c you should be fine.

IB does not run hotter... IB has issues releasing heat to the IHS Due to Tim and density of the 3d transistors on the chip.

This means it is not getting heat from the cores to your heat sink very well... This is often confused with being hotter..

Your Hottest core is 10c hotter then your lowest core.. You may want to re seat your cooler. At that V core you should be in the mid 60s.

I read on a few forum that it is normal for some cores to be hotter

the H100 has reapplied thermal compound so i dont thing i went wrong there
and i got the block as snug as i could.

Now im worried if i have to reset it what thermal compound should i use and how much

pluss i got the 2 corsair fan on the rad running at full

5-6 c from hottest to coldest core is normal.. but 10 c is not normal..

Stock Tim on Heat sinks on the norm is garbage....

Since it seems you have never applied Tim before buy a tube of artic Silver 5.. Radio shack sells it or you can buy it from just about any retailer.

It is one of the most user friendly tims.. and remember Small pea sized drop right in the center of the IHS.

I think the sabertooth is that only board that has it
