Cheaptrick I do see the potential in the case modS required although have you done research to see of there is enough room on the inside of the dual slot graphics card t fit under the power supply? The rad could be external although it may not be as compact as possible...

You're right, there's just no space for a dual slot video card on that case. I was hoping that the space below the optical drive is large enough for the power supply but it too is not that big. I think if you really want a small case, the Silverstone SG05-450 case is probably the smallest that you can get with all the high powered component you can put in it.

I did quite an extensive mod of the Rosewill RS-MI-01. It has the same internal layout as the Element Q.

I did everything except make a dual slot mod which is not all that hard to do anyways (Only had a 6670 at the time).
Excuse the terribad photography. tongue.gif

I'm sure it could be arranged a bit more to fit a 240 rad in there. I had to allocate a lot of space to the 3.5" drives.

The problem with Element Q is that the supporting metal rail to the side where the video card is located make it impossible to add a dual slot video card unless it's a low profile video card. The rail is supporting the optical drive. Without it you still won't be able to put a dual video card as it will hit the optical drive cage.

Are you willing to make the graphics card water cooled? You could take of the shroud and just add the water block to make it low profile? Again that might require it to be an external water cooled system...

Huh? There is nothing that will get in the way of a dual slot. That rail is behind the card and does not affect it normally. I simply cut the rail out anyways. Making your own custom rail is much more flexible and easy.

Update: So I went hunting for the bitfenix prodigy ad try ha some in stock over at Canada computers and to go along with it I ordered an OCZ agility 3 240gb for only $170... I know they have some bad rep but after reading up on other forums I didn't find anyone with problems at least with this perticular SSD.

I was looking at a few other builds on different forums and came across this. http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/1914307

Now in theory because i have an i5-3570k i would be able to OC to 4.5ghz even on this mobo (so the article says). After reading i was thinking of overclocking to around 4.2ghz
and was wondering on some watercooling parts i should get if i can OC on this board. (still waiting for back ordered silverstone psu mad.gif)

That's a pretty interesting article.
It's a shame that H77 boards aren't that much more inexpensive than Z77 boards.

it is... but i was on a tight budget so i went with the Asus P8H77-I over the AsRock z77-I. Although i would have loved the onboard wifi, i have PowerLine in my house and USB wifi adapters so it wasnt worth the extra $$
