the 6600GT was a hell of a card , one of my freiends has one , with huge cooler ont it , and that baby is fast lika F1!!!!!!!!!
But if you got the buck , forget all the rest and grab a 7600gt , that will pwn a 6600GT and a 6800GT any day.
The 6800Gt may have the 256mb mem interface, but the 7600gt has a better core.
I would get the 7300Gt or the 7600GT....
the 6*** is dead(but not berried)

A quick check on newegg...
7300GT $90
6600GT $100 20-50% better than 7300GT
7600GS $120 20-50% better than 6600GT

Not sure of the 7600GS overclocking potential. However, it is based on the G73 core running at 450Mhz. The standard 7600GT uses the same basic GPU and is clocked at 560.
The 6600GT is NOT bettter than the 7300GT!!!!

Well interesting facts. Good to know that this comparison is not that trivial. Are you sure the 7300GT doesnt overclock well ? why is that ? I would like to hear more opinions about this. keep in mind in all this that im talking about an AGP 7300GT with 400/667 Mhz frequencies and 256 MB GDDR2 memory.

Well i forgot to mention something. I live in lebanon, and the freaking retarded computer stores here are not getting any AGP cards anymore. I wish i could have a 7600 but but there arent any. the best one i found here and theres only one store that sells it is the 7300GT. they had a 6600GT, now they dont and they claim having one last card of 6800GT. as for the prices im definetely going for a 7300 GT here since:

-7300GT 140$
-6600GT 200$
-6800GT 260$

im sorry but im not spending this money on an AGP card, u know in one year i could be shifting to PCIe.

As you can see in the review i posted earlier, at page 5 i think, you can see that the 7300GT can get ATLEAST 140mhz from the core and 200mhz from the mem, that is quite an overclock. And as you can see too it also gave a very large performance boost. Im sure that even higher speeds could be reached with a vmod, and then you would surpass 7600GS speeds. That is far from what i call a card that doesnt overclock well

The ExpertVision vison 7300GT has GDDR3 ram.
If you can grab one, with oc , you can pull it to 7600GT or even 7900GS speeds.
They're really hard to find, but theyr're tha best!!!
get one

Well, heres the proof:

TAKE A LOOK HERE EVERYONE

AND HERE!!!

AND DEFINETLY LOOK HERE!

And for a nice conclusion, look here

A little quote from the conclusion:

Sorry for all the caps guys, and sorry if i might have overreacted a bit but seeing this, even you duke! makes me very very very disappointed. Please do research before posting like this

So, tarazan, i believe the right way to go, AKA the right card to choose for you is the 7300GT. It pwns the 6600GT, and most definetly pwns the 6600 not GT. GL mate
I've read that review before, and that 7300GT has GDDR3 which means it should outperform the 6600GT. However, a GDDR2 version I'm not too sure. The TC version on Tomshardware VGA charts is slower (because TC sucks).

In the end they're close, but since the 6600GT is out of stock, go for the 7300GT. The 6800 really isn't worth it IMO

It makes a good difference, mainly because it allows higher clocks
