GTX 680 SLI Overclocking

Thread Starter
Hello,

I have been trying to get a stable overclock on my GTX 680 4GB SLI fo the last few days now.

Card1 boosts to max 1110, and card2 to boosts to max 1071.
For so far im kinda dissapointed in the overclocking of these cards.

Im currently stressing with Heaven at +130/+120, The cards crashes when i run +150..

However the second card is never running the same speed as the first card..? i know the second card has a lower boost, but cmon.. i have been running SLI since the 9800GTX and i never had these issues before.

what also happens is when i OC and stress in heaven, around +140/+140, the GPU usage on the second card drops to 50/60% which gives me a big fps loss.

I don't understand it anymore :s

Theyre most likely unstable OC's. Prolly also got some bad OCers.

So you can control voltages? Yeah up them a bit.

Yes i can control it in evga precision , max 1175mv.
But i doubt if it would give me better stability since i see that the voltages automatically adjust to the clock speeds.

Is the temp too high? Your card could be overheating. It could also be giving it too low of a voltage or too high of a voltage on auto. (if I seem slow or missing something its 3:40 AM here so I am dead tired)

Temps are all fine.. With a custom fancurve the first card never goes over 70c and the second card never goes over 65c.
I have forced the voltage to 1175.
Im testing it at the moment.

Okay but pushing the voltage to the max probably isn't the best idea. Try only a couple notches.

According to evga forums its fine to run 1175mv forced.
These cards work very different compared to fermi. The boost clocks makes it quite complicated imo lol.

Don't force the voltages. If the card has a reference design (even though its 4gb) then the voltages will automatically set themselves. Try overclocking the cards individually and see which one is dragging you back.
