nVIDIA and ATi Graphic Processing Units are both capable of running simultaneous Anti-Aliasing and High Dynamic Range at the same time.

nVIDIA however use OpenEXR (HDR) Technology. However for this to work with Anti-Aliasing it requires that the game has support for its feature sets. Few games do, which is why AA + HDR on nVIDIA cards is very rare.

There are few other differences between these cards. ATI have put more efforts into Shader processors whereas nVIDIA have put more effort into Processing Pipelines (physical).

The only other major difference is that nVIDIA GPU's are able to work with OpenGL data much more effectively due to the use of advanced Z buffers

Games like the HL:2 series i can play maxed out with HDR and AA even though it's made to work on ATI cards better (and im sure it does), but games like TrackMania: Nations/F.E.A.R i can only run at medium/high-ish settings and thats made for nVidia cards lol.
