Cool. This would be better than the GTX 580 3GB, right?

If it has 1344 cores, then yes.

Perfect timing, I will have enought time to get rid of my 2x560 Ti 2Gb and grab those in SLI.
It should smoke a 680 by a good margin !

I'm guessing 1152 Cores at around $300.

I know, right? $300 is still a bit rich for my blood. I'd prefer $200ish, 250 max. It isn't that I cannot afford it, it's the principle. I grow tired of buying a new $200ish video card every year or two when 80% of my gaming occurs on a 360 on the big screen.

I'm considering this as well, although I can't say I actually need the upgrade yet. My rig is already set for GW2, so maybe I'll hold off until the 700s. biggrin.gif

How is it the principal when you're the one choosing to upgrade when you don't use it? Spend a bit more and it lasts a bit more.

On topic, I look forward to seeing how this stacks up against the 7870 which I think is a great card anywhere near its price range and knocks out previous gen cards.
