RMA power supply cost?

I am RMAing my thermaltake power supply. I used UPS and FEDX website to calculate shipping cost. The lowest price I could get for shipping $60, I cant afford that. I was wondering if this sounded right. I live in texas and the 8lbs power supply is going to California.
$20 dollars more and I can buy a new power supply.

Holy Cow!

Use USPS if you can. They always seem to have the best price. Just package it up and weigh it. As long as it's not in a massive box, then you should not have to measure it.

Something doesn't sound right. When I had to RMA my power supply, I used UPS to ship it from Michigan to California via UPS Ground and I remember it was less than $10.

If there is any local shipping stores near you, I'd go in person, it will be much better than any online estimate.

Fedex Ground generally is even cheaper (at least for me) and they provide free insurance up to $100.
