SOLUTION: i'm going with the gtx 670 by zotac: http://www.canadacomputers.com/product_info.php?cPath=43_557_559&item_id=048985

it's a reference pcb and i'm just going to have to deal with not having a backplate. great value card.

fwp: my plan was two gtx 560 ti 448s, problem is there's no waterblock or backplate for those cards from the sellers that i'm willing to buy from. they're nonstandard pcbs.

waterblock AND backplate are necessary. i'm thinking a single gtx 670 would do the trick but I can't find a friggin backplate for the card other than through the evga website.

I'm willing to go with AMD as well, I don't really care other than nvidia's drivers seem better for dual hi res monitor setups.

this is the evga 4gb 670 model; the backplate doesn't even look good. sigh aesthetics are important when dealing with this sort of money! c'mon! tongue.gif

any ideas for an alternative solution? the rest of my wc stuff is coming from germany so i don't really care where the source is as long as it's good quality.
