How did you do that? On HP's US web site the HD7670 is not offered with any Ivy Bridge chip. Was it a phone order? How much did you pay?Contains Awesome

Nope, I don't live in the US. Trust me it was very hard looking for this laptop. I was actually aiming for the one with backlit keyboard and this is the closest I got. I also worked for HP Asia Pacific if that helps but I was never connected to the hardware division. I made a couple of phone calls asking for a model with the specs that I was looking for and the support gave me the contact info of a brick and mortar store which had the laptop that I bought. It was their last and only model. I also had a free Beats Solo HD along with it.

I'll post the benchies as soon as I upgrade the RAM to dual channel. It's an Envy 4 14". Also Envy 6 is not available in my country
. The Envy that I got is the Ultrabook edition which is also currently malfunctioning, the Smart connect feature does not currently work even after reformat and fresh driver installation. Also this is the noisiest ultrabook that I've used. However given that this has a dedicated GPU the extra heat generated by it might be the culprit.Papant007 V2

My Open Box Envy 4-1030US Ivy Bridge system arrived a few hours ago from the Egg. It came with the retail box, all accessories, and the machine looks brand new. So that's a plus and with the retail box I can do the $50 rebate for a total cost of slightly less than $600 after the $13.24 cashback from Mr. Rebates. The user didn't even setup Windows as I was presented with the Windows initial setup screen when first booting.
My initial impressions are very positive. The machine is just absolutely gorgeous, even my Mom mentioned how good it looks. It feels very high quality with the aluminum lid and palm rest, and the soft touch bottom is plastic but feels great. The thing seems lighter than it looks and I love the backlit keyboard. I'm downloading League of Legends as I type this, kaivorth. I'll probably start a thread with some pictures and other stuff about the Envy 4 in a few days.

Geo, it's completely random that you bumped this thread...
I bought this computer (identical setup too) yesterday. Reading through the thread, I don't expect to regret it. Sounds like I should get another DIMM though. The Obelisk
