There's a tiny bit of keyboard flex. However, I cannot detect ANY body flex on my m6-1035dx. It feels like one of, if not the most sturdy laptop I've ever had.
Sorry for replying to a old post, but I'm still on the fence on the M6-1035dx,how are the temps in games, and is the fan loud? I can't find much on the laptop as far as a thorough review, but found a image of the inside,to see it only has a single heatpipe over the APU chip.

That single heatpipe is more than enough. The entire chip (A10-4600m) has a max TDP of 35watts, so it juggles power distribution between the CPU and GPU. Because of that, the package remains fairly cool. You can even set the computer to a lower power state for battery-only usage, where the fan won't even spin up. It remains plenty cool enough.

Does the AMD Version of this also have the mSATA Slot (where the Intel Version has its Samsung SSD)?

I THINK but I'm not really sure. I'm putting in a Samsung 830, hopefully it fits lol. I'll try to find that slot.

Updated with SSD info. The Samsung 830 does indeed fit fine. It's a perfect match! Pics in the 1st post.

No mSATA was found frown.gif

Mine was just delivered today. Soon as I turned it on I noticed they neglected to give me the backlit keyboard I paid for...

Sadly, with classes starting Monday and one of my CS classes being in a normal classroom (ie no school computers), I don't have the option to wait for them to send me a new one. I'm now going through and putting an axe through all the bloatware.

Just contact them, guarantee they will give you a discount, or have someone come and install one for ya (not kidding)

I just ordered a Crucial M4 128GB mSATA SSD for my Intel Envy 4-1030US. Then I have a Samsung 4GB 30nm low voltage RAM kit on hand that I will be upgrading the system to dual-channel. Hopefully both these things will give me a few extra minutes of battery life (I'll be removing the 500GB 7mm HDD). Lastly I'll probably change out the paste on the CPU when I'm in there and see if that lessens the time the fan spins up.

I'm interested in the thermal paste results. Report back temps before/after! I won't bother for awhile I'm sure, maybe next year when the warranty goes out.

OK, I'll try to do that.

Edit: What kind of temps are you getting? I'll probably test with OCCT.
