Duuuuude.
Seriously, DUUUUUDE!
I am just starting my actual build (only took me 3.5 months to get everything lol), and I have been keeping a close eye on this and seriously, it's been an inspiration for me in terms of having a visual guide in planning my loop. Everything looks freaking amazing, and I especially like the sleeved cables, the colors are perfect for your build.
What LEDs are you using, the white ones? I have been looking for some but not having seen most of the available ones actually in use, I've been hesitant, but I really like how yours look: sharp and clean without being overly bright. I am wanting to place them along the MB panel side of the case, kind of against the rear of the components (like a few MM from the edge of the MB, but actually behind it) so that it gives a nice "glow" effect as well as providing a sense of depth and dimension to the build. Kind of like what you see when people have LEDs/lights behind a television or monitor, how there is that glowing light-bleed.
Your build isn't too different from mine, in terms of the main components. I went with the Samsung 830 256GB as it was on a crazy good sale, and while I really wanted some Mushkin Ridgebacks, they were too much of a PITA to get so I grabbed some of the G.Skill Ripjaws Z 2133 9-11-10-28 (16GB 4x4 kit) which was also on sale for just a hundred.
I am wondering how you managed to puncture the rad? Did yours not have the fin protection bits under the screw mounts? I have a UT60 240 for the bottom (EX420 up top as I was too worried about the UT60 420 not fitting in push pull), and one of the big selling points beyond the performance is the fin protectors...
Also, I saw something about painting the fans...
I don't know if I would or not, but if so I would probably do something "unique" and paint the housings grey and then paint every-other fan blade red while leaving half grey. Could look pretty cool I think. If you do that, perhaps painting the radiator housings grey with one or two red pin stripes could look cool? Just tossing out ideas.
Awesome work man!
PS: Glock 19 is a nice choice, and while not my favorite manufacturer I've always liked the 19 for its surprisingly large capacity and for being the only "compact" that I feel comfortable shooting, and can actually shoot well with (anything smaller and my groups balloon in size from 1.5-2MOA @ 25yd to 4-5MOA at the same distance). I have gone through many firearms, but I would never be without my trusty Sig P226 Tac .357SIG and my HK USP Tactical 45. I also can't stand the idea of parting with my HK416 (have a 10.4" upper and a 14.5"as well, and a Gemtech suppressor, EOTech EXPS3-4 with G23 3x magnifier, SureFire M910V, Troy BUIS, MagPul CTR stock for Practical Rifle and use the HK stock for bench rest, and a mix of H&K improved mags and MagPul EMAGs).
Nice to see another enthusiast
