I did a search around the store where I generally buy this stuff and they have the:
- ASUS SABERTOOTH 990FX SOCKET AM3+
- ASUS M5A99X EVO SOCKET AM3+
- GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD7 SOCKET AM3+
Their all about the same price so which one would you get?
Also the store owner suggested I get a lga 2011 socket for future proofing myself..ain't that a workstation and more expensive ?
Ohh and in my ivy pc I have a hyper 212 evo, but since everyone says the amds are slower I might OC a little bit more, should I go for a corsair H70 and risk destroying my whole pc by a leak, or I better go with a noctua or something like that?
I live in the south of spain (most of the time) and temperatures during summer are a bit high..biggrin.gif today for example was around 38-40C biggrin.gif
Edit: hi remz, one of my younger brothers is a bit of a halo fanatic lol biggrin.gif and I believe he told me that 343 confirmed that it will be released for xbox and for pc also, but I don't really know... I'll google it around .

and the 8150 for 20 Bux moar

Thanks everyone! OCN community is the best! thumb.gif

I really need to rep+ everyone here, somehow can't do it on iphone... The button won't click...strange, anyway going to do it when I get home thumb.gif

As for the pc, well I won't be selling my ivy build, well not in the sense that I'll be giving it away it's going to my younger brother he's a gaming maniac.. biggrin.gif

I was initially decided on waiting for the piledriver, but it struck me that the fx8350 and the fx8320 will be quite more expensive... Around 300€, which was the same as the fx8120/8150 when they came out.

For around 180 today I can get the fx8150 with some amd made water cooler, which seems a good deal right?

And by 2014 I'll change for the fx8350 that must have dropped price by then..

Seems like a good plan?

Thanks everyone for the motherboard suggestions, going to follow your advice and go for the sabertooth!

In the meantime the money I save on cpu and motherboard can go to help get a new set of tires for my hayabusa biggrin.gif

Edit:
Going to read the new posts, sorry everyone for taking long time to reply, I believe we have different time zones and English is not my mother language so I take a it longer to write wink.gif

I agree. I was kidding about the fx but id rather go with a 6100 than a 8120 or 8150 from my own experience with both.

If i had the money id go with 1100T, amd's best cpu atm.

Thanks everyone for taking time to respond thumb.gif Going to rep you guys when I get home.

Went to the store with some doubts on which to buy I was going to see f they had phenoms and see their prices but I was set on the Fx8150, when I got there my friend who runs the store said the I7 2600K was with a discount making it 180 €, never had a sandy bridge but it seemed cheap got it.

Just a note to everyone saying the Fx8150 (I can only speak on this since its the one I tried) is bad.

There was a demo pc running a stock fx8150 with two 7970, as a show computer or demo, don't know the exact english word, playing skyrim I believe it was maxed out, on a big 45-50 inches hdtv and I got to play it with the xbox controller, and it was superbly smooth, no lag whatsoever, even on some action packed combat scenes with dragons and stuff flying around, so I really don't get why some people (not anyone here, All the people on this thread are cool biggrin.gif ) say it's horrible, I for once owned a I5 3570K and coulnd't notice a difference, hadn't the i7 been on discount I would have bought a fx8150, since they really are cheap.

Many thanks everyone! thumb.gif
