AMD A6 3650 Crossfire with hd 6670 vs better graphic card

Thread Starter
Hi All,

I have a A6-3650 and I was wondering whether or not I should crossfire it with a hd 6670 or get a better graphic card to run with the APU. If I were to get a better graphics card, what's the best card I should get without fearing bottlenecking by the processor.

Thank you

Pairing that A6 with a 6670 would give you performance somewhat close to a 6750. What resolution do you game at and what's your budget?

This computer will be used to game at 1680x1050. Its a super budget build that I put together to use when I go back home on long breaks. Budget doesnt matter since I usually wait for deals anyways.

Im probably going to play mostly older games on this comp since I have a bunch of steam games that I haven't touched yet. But it would be nice to know that it can handle bf3 at a playable frame rate (doesnt matter settings).

My aging 5750 (been through crap, 1 blade's broken and lost the cover biggrin.gif) at 850/1350 handles battlefield 3 on ultra @ 1366x768 with a steady 30-32 fps. You might be able to hit between low and medium with the 6670/apu crossfire setup.

What's the best graphic card to pair up with this APU without bottle neck then?

hello's,
i have an ageing athlon IIx 4 620,its a2.6ghz quad with no l3 which later became an fm1 chip and it can power my 5850 with avarage of 40fps.my fx can push a few more fps,but its more the gpu is the bottleneck than the cpu,aim for the best gpu you can get and dont worry about the cpu bottlenecking,it only for the people who like to spend £800 on two gpu's.
