a guy is ready to exchange a gtx 580 for a hd6970 i have for about $70 that i will pay...i just need to know will it be a good deal ?

agreed. not a good deal at all. you'd be gaining 10%ish performance for shelling out 40% of what a 580 is worth. terrible deal.

edit : I have owned both a 580 3gb sli set up and 2 different 6970 crossfire setups. I was able to best my 580 sli 3dmark11 score with a 2500k @ 5.0ghz and 6970's. The cards are much closer than people think. Pass on this deal my friend.

Hey guys thanxx for the reply...i was thinking of a straight trade myself but the guy thinks hs card is very awesome over mine i offered him 2000/- Inr which wud be like $36.2 which i think should be ok to make an excahnge and he googled to this thread and referred me to it with a lot of exchange rate calc's so i figured shud post here what he wants lol.
