Anyone have the G600? Any Acceleration issues?

Pretty much what the title is asking.

I wanted to upgrade my mice and this looks to be a contender if it doesn't have any problems with prediction.
Anyone know the laser that is used on this thing?

It's most probably an A9800 avago laser sensor, so yes, it should have accel issues.

Do all laser mouses have acceleration to some degree?

Why did you link that source to the logitech website? I cannot find any detail of the laser name there, maybe I'm blind.

No, PTE sensors are considered "pure laser" ones and they don't show any acceleration.

Also, older Avago laser sensors shouldn't have accel, but they had their share of flaws.

There's only one sensor in the market at the moment that can get into 8200 CPI. The rest of the specs match aswell, and considering the picture from the underside of the mouse, everything adds up.

I see, thanks.

Edit: Found this review of a mouse with the sensor

http://www.custompcreview.com/reviews/razer-taipan-ambidextrous-gaming-mouse-review/3/

Says to be little(frown.gif) to no(smile.gif) acceleration issues, I wonder how long until people start detailed testing for acceleration on the G600.

The fact that anyone is dumb enough to buy a mouse with a bunch of thumb buttons is depressing to think about.

No need for smart remarks. Just because you don't play or think that games would benefit from it does not mean that you need to put people down.

That's because it's a handicap in every instance. You have a keyboard for a reason.
