Oooh, also just thought of a question. Whats the point of having so many PCI Express x1 slots? I never really understood that

err... well... decoration?

I think the idea was that many PCI cards were re-made as PCI-E x1, but that never happened

Gigabyte board with the G.Skill RAM is a succesful combination for many users.. I don't expect any issues there.

aye, G.skill seems to play very nice with the 965 and 975 boards. If you're gonna buy both, not a bad way to go.

PCI Express x1 can be used for super crazy sound cards (the kind with a big 16port external controler) and SATA 2 controlers or RAID controlers. I'm sure other things will use them over time, but ... if you want a fancy schmancy raid controller, that's what some of the newer ones use.

Ha. Hard drives are really not my thing, I plug it in and pray to god the computers turned off (It wasn't once, bad idea). So I probably wont be getting into Raid any time soon. I wish i new that before i bought My Soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS. I'm a audiophile .
