Question, about a 750w corsair power supplies?

Hello, Every one at overclock.net
I have a corsair AX 750W. the fan dose not turn on at load? i do not if it tuns on, its really hard to tell? or is it. should i buy the corsair AX 650W and same some money or should i Just not worry about it? The fan is facing down. Thanks

Form the image, i was playing ETW. every video setting was max out. but at ideal, its running at 30 to 40'c is this normal?

Take the side panel off your PC and check if the fan is spinning inside the power supply. You will be able to see it.

Flip the case to check?

At those kinds of loads, less than half the capacity, these Corsair AX should be spinning the fan, just pretty slow. It should be no louder than a single one of your Velociraptors at idle, much less 4 of them, much less if any are actually seeking, not to mention the CPU and GPU cooling under load.

If it's spinning it would be very slow if at all.... it only spins up if it needs to.

OP, I can pretty much temm you now that the fan IS spinning. I suggest you either flip the case, or the PSU to see for yourself. thumb.gif

The fan turns on, I turn my case over, It only turn on wen you get too the desktop? i called corsair, bad ideal i had to wait one hour, but got
finally i was connect to a tech-support, he was telling that it all depends on the amount of volted your system is push out... so i asked him,
if i should get the 650w power supply? he sayed, no? i went to newegg to there power supply calculate, it was telling me i need a 609W?
