Its strange it happens very randomly the driver crash.

But otherwise yea it's great now! I can finally edit using OpenCL and even use my GPU to render the project if I need to.

No I was looking at that and the 12.x confused me (still new to all this) so I didn't give it a try yet. I will and see how it turns out. But for the most part all I can say is any driver past Rc11 release has not worked with Vegas so far. 12.4,6,7beta everything I have tried with no luck. Oh and yea no problem!

Update: Hey I just tried the 12.x Driver and I have to say I am super happy with the results. Vegas seems to be running perfectly. And I even threw like 8 GPU Accelerated effects on a video and set it to replay using about 40% GPU usage and it didn't crash. I have to say even letting it play the video normally usually crashes it so this stress test worked perfectly. Also it completely fixed my duplicating screen problem when I got screen tears (so did 12.6 but then again they wouldn't run vegas pro without crashing)

I would definitely run this driver. It's the first one I have tried since I got my 7970 to be problem free!

Question, can you render an MP4 on main concept with GPU? I just get an error every time, it has never worked for me. The Sony ones work tho.

Nope. It's a glitch with Vegas 11. I watched a video on it and it explained that main concept "automatic/gpu" rendering is buggy. You have to force CPU rendering to get it to work. Which sucks since that's what I always render as :/ but I'll stick with some sony one I guess.
You are not alone.

Thanks again, was hoping it wasn't just me.

Yea it's a perfect driver. I have a copied saved to my computer and I really don't see a need to upgrade to 12.8 or beyond if they keep having problems with Vegas. Fixed my screen tearing and Vegas problems that come with the latest drivers. I have yet to test it with the last and final glitch I have been having but it happened on all drivers so I think it's just the specific GPU with this game. Thanks for the recommendation. Driver Approved. thumb.gif
