Firefox freezes. Flash player at fault.

Several times a day, Firefox freezes for me.

but to stop it, I only have to shut off the Flash player plugin for the browser in task manager.

is this a know issue? any way to stop it (without going through task manager)?

I'm using Firefox 12, and the only way I've been able to avoid Flash problems is by sticking to an older version.  I'm still using 11.1.102.63 and it's problem-free.

It's like advanced alien technology! :)

after disabling hardware acceleration (and re-disabling it after updates etc)
i don't get any flash lockups or anything anymore
