simple question

can i use my GTS450 as a dedicated physx card while the GTX 670 does all the hard work!?

or would i be better of just taking the 450 out completely?!

Well its possible the performance of the 450 can be so bad in Physx it actually slows down the game.
I would say to watch these.Keep in mind the 670 is MUCH faster then a 480 (from the video) so it might be different, or not at all.

The 450 will probably just slow down the 670. You could always do some benchmarks to be sure.

I thought the minimum recommended physx card was a GTS 250 / 9800GTX
the GTS450 should be faster

That was the minimum at a certain point in time. As the "base cards" become more powerful, a slow PhysX card can become damaging. A GTS450 use to be the perfect PhysX card but Kepler is so powerful there really isn't a need.

it's a minimum to run the software....just like you could technically play BF3 on a old Nvidia 8500 Gt (at 15 fps at 480p everything on low)

You need at least a 550-560Ti for Phsyx with no bottlenecking. Then again, a 670 should be good enough for now. Don't mind any mafia 2 phsyx benchmarks........
