You will have to buy something similar to Supermicro Rail mounts. Then you can use the fan controller.

I was hoping there was enough room, but it looks like I have to consider putting it else where for now. It might be a while until I get my case anyhow.

I might have to look into that. Thanks smile.gif

I don't think my chip is that great though, but I don't care too much about high overclocks after hitting 5ghz with my old 2550K. I love the boot time of the motherboard itself. From power on to the Windows Logo boot up is about 2~3 seconds. The BIOS is almost the same as my Asrock P67 Extreme4 Gen3, so it's very welcoming coming from an Asrock board. My only gripe is the position of CPU 8-pin and that it comes with an unnecessary Wi-fi module, but this could be useful if the performance is better than my USB one. This is something I will test out eventually.
how do you get boot up to 3 seconds? i have an ssd ocz vortex 4 and the asus z77-i and it takes maybe 25 seconds even when i trim out windows sstartup junk. is it the mb bios that makes the diff? EDIT-nevermind. I missed the part about windows logo. i also get a boot of 2 to 3 secs.

Thanks for the subs!

Yes boot up with the motherboard is much quicker than any other motherboard I've used before. Typically POST takes about 5~10 seconds, but this board does it in about 2~3. Windows logo to desktop takes about another 30-35 seconds with my hard drive. I'm looking to getting an SSD in the coming month or two, but I want to see how low the prices can drop.

If Samsung and Toshiba really go through with their plans to throttle nand production, then right now is as low as they're gonna get for a while.

To my big disappointment, my PCI-E slot on my Asrock Z77E-ITX stopped working. At first, I thought my 7950 stopped working, but I tested it out on my gf's rig and it worked perfectly to my relief. To test out the PCI-E slot, I tried a 9800GT and a HD3870, but both didn't output any video. I'll be going to Microcenter to exchange it later today and hopefully they have one in stock.

Looks like the only thing I forgot to do was a BIOS reset and it worked! This part still confuses me since I checked over my BIOS settings 4~5 times and even after resetting it, I used the same settings. That's technology for you... cheers.gif

The good news is that my XSPC Raystorm from another OCN member came in today and it was very nice. I sanded the copper surface with 2000grit sandpaper to get rid of the oxidation and the inside wasn't too bad either. Just took a toothbrush and scrubbed the oxidation off the lines inside the block.

With that final part coming in, I was able to assemble my watercooling loop and it's currently bleeding. It took about 30minutes of adjusting the pump and turning off the PSU to get most of the bubbles out, but I'll let it run overnight. Also, the EK FC7950 waterblock fit perfectly with my 7950 as well, but I'll be waiting to permanently put it on the 7950 after I fix the whole motherboard issue.

I'll still be on the forums through my phone, but pictures will have to wait until I get things fixed.

Seeing as everything is working out, I'll be installing my XSPC Raystorm and EK FC7950 later today and get pictures and temps posted up later tonight. thumb.gif

Finally got my loop setup and blocks installed with Shin Etsu x23-7783d paste. The back plate for my XSPC Raystorm also faced the same problems as owners of the Swiftech Apogee Drive II, but I just installed it anyway. There's a slight offset for one corner of my CPU block, but it's working well enough for me.

Here are my temps with a single RX240 with two 2150 GTs on push (around 1000RPM) and my D5 pump at setting 3:

i5 3570K - 4.5ghz @ 1.16v -Prime95 blend with AVX instructions - 50~60C, With non-AVX Prime95 blend, it's about 5~10C lower.
7950[overvolted] - 1200core @ 1.25v | 1800mem @ 1.6v - MSI Kombustor - 45-47C
7959[stock volts] - 1040core @ 1.093v | 1800mem @ 1.6v -MSI Kombustor - 38~40C
