I wouldn't say they did a terrible job if you leveled every class to 60--most people would get sick of any game after playing it that much.

Oh there's no doubt I got my money's worth from the game. I believe I put in something around 100 hours into it. On the other hand, the number of hours I played Diablo 2 is somewhere In the hundreds. The two games's end game are almost exactly the same concept, but somehow Blizzard made D3 not fun, while I can still get on D2 and amuse myself for hours.

So like d2...oh wait bots had rotating Cd Keys for the realm down connection time out problems....more bs to deal with. I tried to like D3, really but it just feels too Activision for me too little Blizzard. Maybe I've just got older I dont know but the game hasn't done it for me like Lod did, but hey it sold 3-1 on lod so its a financial success and that's what matters at the end of day isn't it? biggrin.gif

Too little too late. There are a ton of problems with the game still and this is one of the least important issues. Stopping all traffic from China would be a great start to stopping bots but of course they don't actually care, because bot accounts make them money, and bots trading makes them money, they just want to appear to be addressing the issue rather than actively designing a game that encourages botting (RMAH, always online, no single player).

How blizzard doens't have the foresight that farming pots would happen just shows how incompetent/bad they are. Botters made billions of gold off that and they nerfed it only hurting players who are legit. Ban waves don't help because you can make a profit and store things on another account. They don't care at all.

they should of done this day 1...
not after tons of legit player quit.

The reason Blizzard missed the boat with Diablo III, because instead of only focusing on making the game fun and enjoyable to play, they just go off and do random crap like this which has absolutely no bearing on what is most important in gaming. Blizzard is the only company that does stuff like this. For as much things as blizzard nerfs in trying to balance a game out, they always fail miserably at it. IMO Blizzard couldn't possibly be doing any worse with regards to Diablo III, its as bad as it possibly could have been. They may have sold a record amount of copies, but that was only due to the success and reputation of its predecessor. People are leaving this game in droves. Either outright quitting, or demanding refunds.

Whether or not people are using bots has no impact on the way I'd play a game, so I really couldn't care less what other people do, and if it means I get better gear for cheaper, then great. I'm not looking to grind a game for 3 months anyway.

Literally the only people who will have cause for complain are the people who run bots.
Who (other than a botter) would want to create 100 games per hour?
They should set a 30 game limit. This averages out at 1 game every 2 minutes. Who needs to create more than one game every two minutes?
Anyone who isn't a botter, and complains about this would be complaining for the sake of complaining. This would not impact the quality of their game in any way, dependant upon the limit they choose of course.

I don't play the game anymore, but I absolutely agree with you on this.
