I cant get it to work very well at all.
Vanilla GTA4 with this results in the overall picture looking very very grainy like the image has lots of noise mad.gif
Also getting sky changin funny colours.

Will try again in next few days as i really want this to work.

I found that Ice 2.1 mod way too dark at night so I have to go back the the vanilla version. Other then that it was awesome. Is there an easy fix to brightening it up during the night?

I am amazed at how well it runs. The other versions were very slow. Looks excellent.

One thing I'm not clear about this mod is how to remove it if you dont like it.
Clearly it works for some but not all, would it be a case of completely uninstalling then reinstalling the game?

Kind of a pain when you're looking at a 15gb game, but thought I'd ask anyways.

Depends on whether you backed up the common and pc folders,if you didn't,you are an idiot(should be common sense),TBH, it is only a small amount of changes,nearly 16MB in the main directory,and less than 1MB in the rest.

I happened to be one of those idiots. I forgot to back up the game. I advise to do so if you haven't. I had to re-download it from steam.

Well, thankfully I asked before making any changes thumb.gif
Stock files renamed to "_bak" installed the mod files, visuals increase, I'd even say the game felt more fluid.

Then I deleted all mod files, removed "_bak" naming convention and game returns to stock. No issues and no need to re-download

You will get that if you run on 1.0.7.0. Downgrade it to 1.0.4.0.

Why not just delete the files you pasted in then verify the integrity of the game? Steam would just download the couple of files you're missing. Easier and quicker than re-downloading the entire game.
